Assalamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh! Respected Mufti, could you please answer this question? What is stated in the Hanafi school of thought? Please provide an answer with evidence from our reliable books!

 Is it permissible for a man to remove his beard hair permanently using laser treatment?

اَلجَوَابْ بِاسْمِ مُلْہِمِ الصَّوَابْ

       The beard is a tradition of all the Prophets (peace be upon them), a national symbol of Muslims, and a natural and inherent attribute of men. Therefore, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) has instructed his Ummah to adopt this symbol and has commanded them to keep it. As a result, according to the majority of scholars of the Ummah, keeping a beard is obligatory, and trimming or shaving it to less than a fist in length is forbidden and considered a major sin. Those who commit this act are deemed sinful and disobedient. "Moreover, shaving the beard is such a crime that there is a consensus among the entire Ummah regarding its prohibition. Not a single member of the Ummah supports the permissibility of this reprehensible act."

صحيح مسلم (1/ 223):

حدثنا قتيبة بن سعيد، وأبو بكر بن أبي شيبة، وزهير بن حرب، قالوا: حدثنا وكيع، عن زكريا بن أبي زائدة، عن مصعب بن شيبة، عن طلق بن حبيب، عن عبد الله بن الزبير، عن عائشة، قالت: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " عشر من الفطرة: قص الشارب، وإعفاء اللحية، والسواك، واستنشاق الماء، وقص الأظفار، وغسل البراجم، ونتف الإبط، وحلق العانة، وانتقاص الماء " قال زكريا: قال مصعب: ونسيت العاشرة إلا أن تكون المضمضة زاد قتيبة، قال وكيع: " انتقاص الماء: يعني الاستنجاء"

سنن الترمذي ت بشار (4/ 392):

حدثنا الحسن بن علي الخلال، قال: حدثنا عبد الله بن نمير، عن عبيد الله بن عمر، عن نافع، عن ابن عمر، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: احفوا الشوارب واعفوا اللحى.

هذا حديث صحيح. "
