Can any of the conditions of the Mudharabah be changed mutually at a later stage of the agreement? e.g. initially he was instructed to only trade in ecommerce but now they agree to deal in cars or a change in the profit share for a specific period.

اَلجَوَابْ بِاسْمِ مُلْہِمِ الصَّوَابْ

In a Muḍarabah, the Muḍārib and Rabb-ul-Mal can, by mutual consent, change the type of business or revise the profit-sharing ratio.

Therefore, if they mutually agree to shift from an e-commerce business to a car trading business, or if they change the profit-sharing percentages for a certain period, it is allowed in Shariah.

۳/۸۔ يجب أن يتم الاتفاق على نسبة توزيع الربح عند التعاقد، كما يجوز باتفاق الطرفين أن يغيرا نسبة التوزيع في أي وقت مع بيان الفترة التي يسري عليها هذا الاتفاق۔
