Is it okay to pray only farz prayer and left other sunnah and wajib prayer?

اَلجَوَابْ بِاسْمِ مُلْہِمِ الصَّوَابْ

Relying solely on the Fard prayers while neglecting the Wajib and Sunnah Mu’akkadah is not correct. The Fard prayers are obligatory, and the Witr prayer is Wajib; neglecting either is a sin (gunnah). If they are not performed on time, it is necessary to make them up (qaza).

Neglecting the Sunnah Mu’akkadah is also a sin, and developing a habit of ignoring them is considered a major sin, potentially leading to missing out on the intercession (shafa'ah) of the prophet (Sallah o alaih wa sallam). However, you have the option to perform or skip the Ghair Mu’akkadah (non-emphasized Sunnah) and Nafl prayers; if you pray them, you earn reward (sawab), and if you don’t, there is no sin (gunnah). Nonetheless, it is not advisable to completely neglect these prayers.

وصرح الحنفية أن تارك السنن الرواتب يستوجب إساءة وكراهية. وفسر ابن عابدين استيجاب الإساءة بالتضليل واللوم. وقال صاحب كشف الأسرار: الإساءة دون الكراهة. وقال ابن نجيم: الإساءة أفحش من الكراهة. وفي التلويح: ترك السنة المؤكدة قريب من الحرام. وقال الحنابلة بكراهة ترك الرواتب بلا عذر .
