My son is residing at USA at he wanted to seek fatwa. It is okay put your yearly zakat money in trust which is planning to build a charitable hospital and school, even if trust will be register later on can’t use it that particularly year and need more funds to start the project.

اَلجَوَابْ بِاسْمِ مُلْہِمِ الصَّوَابْ
As per sharia perspective zakat cannot be given to build charitable hospital and school, because there should be ownership, which is not found in building. However the trust can’t use neither that particular year nor in the future. If the building complete without zakat money, then can be given to charity funds after the ownership of entitled and needy one.
