I arrived in Jeddah on Thursday morning. At my wife's brother's home. The primary purpose of the visit to Saudi Arabia was to spend some family time together. But it was in mind from Karachi that we'll perform Umrah too. Though it wasn't decided when. Now I'm planning to perform Umrah tomorrow night Tuesday at 2:00 am. What are the rules for me? Where should I wear the Ahraam? From Meeqat? From home in Jeddah or from Masjid e Ayesha. Looking forward to hearing from you.

اَلجَوَابْ بِاسْمِ مُلْہِمِ الصَّوَابْ

Jeddah falls within the Hil. If the people within the Hil wish to perform Umrah, it is valid to enter in Ihram from any place before the boundaries of the Haram; however, it is preferable and better to enter into Ihram from their own residence. It is not permissible to cross the boundaries of the Haram without Ihram and subsequently assume Ihram from Masjid Aisha.

وفي المحيط،والبدائع : من كان داخل الميقات كأهل بستان بني عامر فميقاته في الحج والعمرة من داره إلى الحرم ، ومن داره أفضل، وكذا الآفاقي إذا حل في البستان ، والمكي إذا أخرج إليه من الحرم يكون حكمه حكم أهل البستان . وما وراء الميقات إلى الحرم مكان واحد.

ومن كان داخل الميقات فوقته الحل ، معناه الحل الذي بين المواقيت وبين الحرم لأنه يجوز إحرامه من دويرة أهله.
