Query: My concern is about “Darood e Taaj”. As you know, we, people from the subcontinent recite and share this Darood. So, someone shared the same with me to recite, but the concern is to find out origin and purpose behind it.

Kindly guide me about the Darood, once I read translation it didn’t sound right to me. So, my inner instinct stopped me to recite it.

اَلجَوَابْ بِاسْمِ مُلْہِمِ الصَّوَابْ

Durood e Taaj does not exist in Hadith. Some words in this Durood e Taaj have thoughts of polytheism, so it is advised to leave this Durood and recite Durood e Ibrahimi or others which are narrated in Hadith.
